ARTISAN JEWELRY TRUNK SHOW

Liberty Square is pleased to present acclaimed jewelry artisans and their work to our Board Room and Art and Home Décor Center. A free wine tasting and selected appetizers will be served from 2:30 p.m. until the end of the show on Saturday. There will also be live piano music at selected times on both afternoons.

  Amanda DeWitt, Liberty Square's retail
manager, who is herself an artisan jeweler and silversmith, said the two day trunk show at Liberty Square is worth visiting if only to see the work of these internationally acclaimed artists.

Featured artists include:

Carol Motty

Carol Motty
Carol Motty's jewelry has been featured on the covers of Vogue, Glamour, Women's Wear Daily, New York Magazine and other well known publications.

Motty's jewelry is part of such diversified collections as those belonging to Katherine Deneuve, Lauren Hutton, and Elton John. Her work has been shown at art galleries and museums around the world.

Sarah Mann

Sarah Mann
Sarah Mann is fascinated by the creative and technical challenges of transforming sterling silver into objects of adornment. She creates clean straightforward designs that often incorporate kinetics.

Sarah has recently returned to her roots in the Midwest and continues her silversmithing there, creating bold yet elegant jewelry with unique surface treatments. She crafts her jewelry with torch and tools - saws, files, pliers, nippers, drills, hammers, dapping blocks, and a rolling mill - then gives it with a range of hues through delicately controlled oxidation. The combined effect of patina on texture is a signature characteristic of all Sarah Mann jewelry.

Polly Daeger

Polly Daeger

Polly Daeger creates one-of-a-kind jewelry out of various metals and precious stones which have an organic feeling.

Michael Ann Carley

Micheal Ann Carley
Micheal Ann Carley's work is a regular feature of Liberty Square's Jewelry Showcase, a former art curator at The University of Wisconsin who is now a full time jewelry maker with a growing reputation for stunning work. Her work characterizes the technically complex ‘torchworked’ technique.
