EGG HARBOR, WI - July 11, 2008—
The owners of Liberty Square and Door County Nature and Travel are pleased to
announce a new cooperative effort to bring naturalist-lead eco-tours to Door County.
Now, visitors and residents can enjoy the splendors of Door County's natural and
cultural history with a small-group guided tour. Tours are conveniently packaged
to include a meal, naturalist guide and comfortable transportation. Beginning
in July, several DC-EcoTours will be held each week and will depart from Liberty
Square in Egg Harbor. Check Liberty Square's website, for specific topics, times
and prices. Customized, private tours for family and other groups are also available.
Tours featuring the natural and cultural history of
Door County begin on Saturday, July 12 with "The
Nature of Door County: Bayside Highlights."
This tour starts off with a delicious breakfast prepared
by The Bistro in Liberty Square.

Afterwards, participants board an 18-passenger
minibus for the DC-EcoTour. A few highlights of this naturalist-narrated tour
include a drive through beautiful Peninsula State Park, a shoreline drive through
Ephraim, up the Niagara Escarpment and into the pastoral landscapes of Door County's
interior. Seasonal stops for wildflowers, birds, geological, and historical features
differentiate all DC-EcoTours.
Paul Regnier is the owner of and Lead Naturalist for Door County Nature and Travel
and will be the tour leader for this summer's DC-EcoTours.
