EGG HARBOR, WI - July 11, 2008—
The owners of Liberty Square and Door County Nature
and Travel are pleased to announce a new cooperative
effort to bring naturalist-lead eco-tours
to Door County. Now, visitors and residents can enjoy
the splendors of Door County's natural and cultural
history with a small-group guided tour. Tours are conveniently
packaged to include a meal, naturalist guide and comfortable
transportation. Beginning in July, several DC-EcoTours
will be held each week and will depart from Liberty
Square in Egg Harbor. Check Liberty Square's website,
for specific topics, times and prices. Customized, private
tours for family and other groups are also available.
Tours featuring the natural and cultural history of
Door County begin on Saturday, July 12 with "The
Nature of Door County: Bayside Highlights."
This tour starts off with a delicious breakfast prepared
by The Bistro in Liberty Square.

Afterwards, participants
board an 18-passenger minibus for the DC-EcoTour.
A few highlights of this naturalist-narrated tour include
a drive through beautiful Peninsula State Park, a shoreline
drive through Ephraim, up the Niagara Escarpment and
into the pastoral landscapes of Door County's interior.
Seasonal stops for wildflowers, birds, geological, and
historical features differentiate all DC-EcoTours.
Paul Regnier is the owner of and Lead Naturalist for
Door County Nature and Travel and will be the tour leader
for this summer's DC-EcoTours.
